i can't recall anyone introducing me to LJ unless it was Katherine. In 2001 I started my account, misjess. I also started two deadjournals. since then i've had one other LJ besides this one. I miss misjess! but alas, i'm not returning to it.

i'm not sure why i started, either. haha

if it wasn't Katherine, i just randomly came across it, perhaps. but i DO remember sitting in computer class and getting my first friend (claire! who doesn't update anymore) and being really excited. ^_^

2. on one of my photobucket accounts i uploaded a photo of a guy in his undies. i mean it's like a model for an ad or photoshoot or something. so it's not raunchy and there is no nudity. just a good bit of hotness.

well APPARENTLY that violates photobucket's terms of use!! so instead of that photo there is a big red picture telling me this.


what i find quite quite hilarious is the fact that RIGHT NEXT TO IT is ( this NSFW photo ) which apparently does NOT violate their terms of use. SEXIST.

my professor said i did a good job world building.
WELCOME TO GODHOOD.

it took me 2 hours for just 500 words and not a lot of detail. i also spent way too long realizing i know virtually nothing about energy, minerals, mining or natural resources. or how many people live in large cities or small cities (i googled the populations in montgomery and new york city lol) i feel that i know nothing after this exercise. NOTHING. how do i go about learning enough to create a decent world?

jessica needs: GIGANTIC board on bedroom wall. strike that! gigantic sheet of paper covering entire wall. must create world. (not draw, write. lots of writing. you would not believe how much goes into world building. ask jahweh) jessica also needs post it notes. MANY MANY post it notes.

While in Graduate School find a Japanese or Korean pen pal
Become close with Pen Pal
Apply to teach English in Korea or Japan

You are an awesome place. I have always loved you. I mean, your owner took MY senior dress to CHINA and bought the fabric in CHINA and made my dress in CHINA (it was oriental themed).

I took a dress to you recently to have the straps adjusted and it was just perfect and the lady did it in less than five minutes! how awesome!

I do have a slight issue with you now, however. I needed the straps adjusted on another dress. I took it in and you said you'd have it back to me in a week. a week to do what took five minutes the last time I came in. Fine, you're busy.

A week later I pick up the dress.

Why, oh WHY Tang's, is the strap sewed on twisted? Why? [I am so glad I decided to try it on before Saturday].

And when do you propose I take it by? Tomorrow? When I'm working [oh, so literally and truthfully] 8AM to 11PM setting up and working and closing Monte Carlo? Or Friday when I'm working for mom 8-11 and at Pier 1 from 12-5?

You see, I totally need this dress for Saturday.

for future reference, this is in response to a comment on my wall on Facebook. I have on my status update that I am glad Clinton won PA. she even won with double digits which she REALLY needed. a friend of mine commented that it didn't matter b/c she would lose the primaries. so this is my response:

i am so tired of discussing this with people. she has more super delegates than he has. we all learned from the bush/gore election that popular votes don't matter. there's only about 140 difference in delegates between them right now. therefore, it's most likely going to end up with the super delegates and party leaders/officials deciding who is going to run. if obama runs, we lose a lot of blue collar americans and whites. if hillary wins, you lose a good bit of the black vote. (ex: in PA 17% of voters said if Hillary won they either would vote for McCain or not vote at all whereas 25% said if Obama ran they would either vote for McCain or not vote at all. and it's just not in PA that this issue is coming up, I heard on NPR MONTHS ago this same thing for the US in general. ) then there's also the case of who will fair better against mccain. so it just depends on how the party leaders view these issues. the primaries won't have that much to do with it in the end.

but really, from a non-biased viewpoint, i don't believe the primaries are going to be the end all deciding factor in whether Obama or Clinton will run. I really think it's going to end up in the hands of the party leaders.

the smithsonian magazine wrote a few articles on the stonehenge excavation.

my favorite part in one of the articles is a mention that a worker has to wear yellow so as not to be mistake for a tourist or a rogue druid. there is actually a high druid in england. o.O pretty cool.
